Australian Professional Photography Awards
August 2019
So pleased to have received awards for these images at this year's APPA! As harrowing as it is to put images up to be judged in a public forum, it truly challenges me to further my skills and push myself into trying new things. This year was no exception! I've really enjoyed creating this work and glad it has been so well received.

I am truly proud and humbled to have been chosen as the winner of 2 major awards in the South Australian AIPP Professional Photography Awards with the Epson Signature Worthy award and the Highest Scoring Print. In addition, I am pleased to have received a gold, silver distinction and silver awards for these four entries, which also saw me named as a finalist for the Illustrative category!

Ice Factor
December 2016
A few shots from a fun day out on the ice at the Thebarton Ice Arena. This was a great challenge of setting up some speedlites on the ice rink and getting some seriously fun portraits of these tough ice hockey players.
As a bonus, I didn't fall over once while shooting these guys on that slippery ice!

Family Portraits
October 2013
One of the most amazing couples I know recently brought a person into this world. I always feel very grateful to photograph the celebration of these special times! A few of these fun family portraits are now up on the Portraiture page.

Tea & Sympathy
September 2013
Perhaps a continuation of the dancing coffee cup, I've recently been exploring a range of tea cup images. These were actually a collection of remnants from a Mad Hatter's Tea Party I hosted for my 30th. Only one breakage counted - not bad considering the tea was substituded with alcohol!
Now a couple of these explorations can be seen on my fine art portraits page.

Photography for Collage
April 2013
Here is a sneak preview of a new project! This image has been taken with the intention for use in a bigger collage of images. Quite fun on it's own, the figure is emerging from an invisible gap. Can't wait to get stuck into more of these!
Coffee Cup Jive
January 2013
This is one of those deviations which turns out better than you hope for! Trying out some stop motion animation - just for fun - and taking a good chunk of inspiration from the ingenious Sam Oster. I've extended the tea cup ballet to a slightly more up beat Coffee Cup Jive.

The Spinner 360
Lomography
It still feels a bit like a toy, but so far it's looking to be a great distraction from more serious work. Here's some early results - sure makes for some cool family portraits!
